Preparation  

  1. After placing the 1 CUP filter basket into the portafilter, insert the cleaning disc and one cleaning tablet.
  2.  Lock the portafilter into the group head and secure it. Then place a large container beneath the portafilter spouts.
  3. Make sure the water tank is filled with cold water and the drip tray is empty.
  4. Switch off the machine by pressing the POWER button.

Start the Cleaning Cycle 

  1. Press and hold 1 CUP, 2 CUP & ‘power’ button for 3 seconds.

After the cleaning cycle begins, it will last approximately 5 minutes. As a result, water will periodically flush through the portafilter to dissolve the cleaning tablet and flush it back into the group head.
NOTE: Water should not pass through the portafilter.

Completion and Checking

  1. After completing the cleaning cycle, if the tablet has not dissolved. Repeat from step 4 the cleaning process until the tablet has dissolved.

Rinsing

After the tablet has completely dissolved, remove the cleaning disc. Reinsert the portafilter, and press the 2 CUP button to rinse the brew head.
To prevent water splashing onto the machine, place a container under the portafilter spout. Once the process is complete, wipe off any splashes with a soft dry cloth

Replace Tamp Cover

Place the tamp cover back into position after cleaning it.

Align & Lock Upper Burr

Align the index marks and push the upper Burr firmly into position. Then lock it by rotating it to clockwise.

Insert Hopper & Lock

Insert the hopper and lock it securely in a proper place.

Restore the Grind Setting

Return the grind setting to its previous position for consistency.

Ready for Fresh Beans

Now the grinder machine is ready to be filled again with fresh coffee beans.
